[Saba Sports News] Day 2 of the fourth Test match of the ongoing series between India and England belonged to the hosts. While finished their innings at 353/10, India lost their seven wickets, four to off-spinner Shoaib Bashir, and finished the day at 219/7.
India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal again was their standout performance, scoring another fifty. He was dismissed by Bashir for 73 runs, getting bowled on a delivery that kept a bit low.
During his knock, Jaiswal also found himself at the positive end of a contentious third umpire’s call. In the sixth ball of the 20th over, the southpaw poked at an Ollie Robinson delivery, edging the red cherry to the English wicket-keeper Ben Foakes.
As the on-field umpire was unsure if he ball had bounced in front of the gloveman, the decision went to third umpire Joel Wilson. After seeing the replays on the giant screen, the English players celebrate. However, to their surprise, Wilson adjudged Jaiswal not-out as Stokes gave a shocking hands on face reaction.
