Sports News] The Korean Badminton Association has recently secured its latest
sponsor, the renowned sports brand “Yonex,” in a successful
sponsorship selection process. Yonex emerged victorious in the sponsorship
competition against “Victory.” It is reported that this year, the two
major brands, Victory and Yonex, engaged in a high-stakes battle to secure the
sponsorship of the Korean badminton team. Ultimately, Yonex secured the
sponsorship for a four-year period, amounting to $12 million. The sponsorship
ceremony has recently taken place. The funds provided by Yonex will primarily
be utilized by the Korean Badminton Association in training players for the
Asian Games and Paris Olympics. The collaboration between the two parties will
span from April 2023 to March 2027. Notably, the sponsorship fee has increased
by 61% compared to the previous agreement. Yonex, often referred to as YY, is a
Tokyo-based sporting goods manufacturer. It has developed a wide range of
badminton supplies to dominate the badminton racket market and cater to diverse
needs. As a world-renowned professional manufacturer of badminton rackets,
Yonex firmly holds the number one position in the world. Additionally, their
tennis rackets are also highly regarded and favored by numerous well-known
stars.
