Sports News] The 2024 All England Open is currently underway, and in the recent
round of 16 matches, Malaysia’s top badminton player, Li Zii Jia, convincingly
defeated Kodai Naraoka 2-0 to secure a spot in the quarterfinals. In a
post-match interview, Li Ziijia expressed his satisfaction with his current
form and expressed his desire to shine and claim the championship title in this
year’s All England Open. Reflecting on his performance, Li Ziijia stated,
“I am very pleased with my performance today. Overall, I played well and
felt good throughout the match.” He also acknowledged the assistance he
received from Sindhu, India’s top badminton player, in their training sessions,
which proved beneficial for both players’ preparation. The All England Open is
the oldest and most prestigious badminton tournament in the world. Held
annually, it attracts top players from around the globe. With a history
spanning 125 years, the All England Open have earned the reputation of being a
“Mini World Championships” in the sport. In 2021, at the age of 26,
Li Ziijia clinched the men’s singles championship, and he hopes to replicate
that success this year.
