[Saba Sports News] Paul Pierce may have been feeling a bit too comfortable on air Monday. During his appearance on FOX Sports’ “Undisputed Live,” Pierce was discussing the NBA playoffs with Skip Bayless and Keyshawn Johnson.
The former Boston Celtics star picked up a sheet of paper and began talking about New York Knicks guard Donte DiVincenzo’s playoff performance.
DiVincenzo had been scoring well until the Knicks’ loss to the Pacers in Game 4 of their Eastern Conference series, where he went 3/13 for just 7 points and had a -40 plus-minus.
As Pierce brought out his sheet of paper, he said, “look at this n—a, Key,” referring to DiVincenzo while talking to co-host Keyshawn Johnson. Viewers were shocked by Pierce’s casual use of the N-word with an “A” at the end.
Previously, Pierce was an analyst at ESPN until his firing in 2021 due to questionable behavior displayed in a publicly shared video. This recent incident suggests he may not have fully learned his lesson.
