[Saba Sports News] The Denver Broncos might want to consider Nuggets star Nikola Jokic for their football team.
Jokic showcased his quarterback skills during Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday. With the Nuggets leading 62-57 early in the third quarter at Ball Arena, Jokic grabbed a rebound and immediately launched a full-court pass to a streaking Jamal Murray for an uncontested dunk. Even Murray mimicked the NFL touchdown gesture in celebration.
The 3-time NBA MVP, often likened to an offensive lineman, essentially acts as the QB for the Nuggets’ offense. His pass to Murray was Jokic’s third consecutive assist and capped an 11-2 run for Denver.
Jokic finished with a game-high 13 assists in the Nuggets’ 112-97 win, alongside 40 points on 15/22 shooting. Remarkably, he achieved this without committing a single turnover.
