[Saba Sports News] LeBron James has expressed a desire to play in the NBA with his son Bronny, but the 19-year-old isn’t focused on that possibility yet.
Bronny James was a standout participant at the recently concluded NBA draft combine. The former USC swingman impressed in various drills at Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois. Speaking to reporters after the final day of the combine, Bronny addressed the potential of teaming up with his 4-time MVP father, LeBron.
“When I get there, I don’t think it would just be like, me and my dad. I would be happy about getting into the league instead of me thinking about playing with my dad,” Bronny said. “But that’s not my mindset at all. I’m just trying to put in the work and see where it takes me.”
Bronny is reportedly serious about forgoing his remaining college eligibility to enter the pros. He spent one season at USC, averaging 4.8 points and 2.8 rebounds over 25 games. He has until June 16 to withdraw from the 2024 NBA Draft.
Bronny’s performance at the combine impressed many, but one aspect of his measurements could affect his draft stock.
