[Saba Sports News] There’s speculation that NBA teams might draft Bronny James to lure his father, LeBron James, away from the Los Angeles Lakers. However, this strategy may prove ineffective. On the “Up & Adams” show, Shams Charania of The Athletic reported that LeBron is currently unwilling to leave the Lakers just to team up with Bronny.
Charania mentioned, “It would not surprise me if in the coming weeks, a team reaches out to Rich Paul or others in Bronny’s circle, or to LeBron himself, asking if drafting Bronny would bring LeBron over. As of now, the answer would be no.”
This sentiment aligns with the broader consensus that, while LeBron has expressed a desire to play with his son, other priorities are also at play, and he is likely to finish his career with the Lakers.
The possibility of LeBron and Bronny playing together may depend on whether the Lakers view Bronny as a suitable addition and position themselves to draft him.
