[Saba Sports News] The Spanish Football Federation’s insurance company will pay bail for Luis Rubiales, according to reports from Spanish media. As per their contract, the insurance company will cover a bail amount of 130,000 euros in the Luis Rubiales rape case. Rubiales, along with Jorge Vilda (former Spanish women’s football coach), Ruben Rivera (former Spanish women’s football coach), and Albert Luque (former Spanish Football Federation official), were summoned to court by Spanish judge Francisco de Jorge. The latter three were accused of pressuring Jennifer Hermoso into claiming that “the kiss was voluntary.” Before the verdict is reached, all four defendants must pay a combined bail of 130,000 euros. Industry experts find it customary for an organization like the Spanish Football Federation to have insurance but consider it highly unusual for insurance to cover bail payments in such cases. It raises the question of what fans think about this.
