(sabasports report) NBA star Allen Iverson recently appeared on Knuckleheads.
“Kobe didn’t dominate that series,” Iverson said of the 2001 Finals. “Shaquille O’Neal did. People said Dikembe Mutombo was good on defense, but Shaq still averaged 35 and 15. Shaq was at his peak, Kobe was at his peak, they had the best role players, and they had one of the best coaches in Phil Jackson.

“Looking back, even though we only won one game, we didn’t win the series. They can say we’ve only won one, but we know we can beat them.”

Shaquille O’Neal averaged 33 points, 15.8 rebounds and 3.4 blocks in the 2001 Finals, when the Lakers beat the 76ers 4-1.
