[Saba Sports News] The Chicago Bulls have reportedly lowered their trade demands for Zach LaVine, who was shopped earlier this season. Despite being a 2-time All-Star with a career average of over 20 points per game, LaVine didn’t attract much interest during the 2023-24 campaign.
Previously, the Bulls sought either an All-Star talent, first-round picks, or a combination of both. However, NBC Sports Chicago’s KC Johnson reports that the asking price has now “dropped significantly.”
Johnson also noted that both LaVine and the Bulls are increasingly eager to finalize a trade, as their relationship “has run its course.”
LaVine’s trade value was impacted by his season-ending surgery in February to address a right foot injury, which limited him to 25 games this season. He averaged 19.5 points and 3.9 assists while shooting 34.9% from three-point range, his lowest marks since the 2017-18 season when he was recovering from a torn ACL.
Given that LaVine is represented by Rich Paul, it’s no surprise that a particular Western Conference team has been linked to him.
