Club Lyon noted that vehicles driven by supporters of the KOP Virage Nord group arrived at the meeting point with a police escort on time, some of which were late due to traffic accidents at the time of departure.
After nearly two months of attempts to separate the Paris and Lyon convoys, the police escort accidentally placed seven Lyon vehicles in the middle of 18 Paris vehicles. The exact cause of the incident is still under investigation.
