As a result, Mercedes-Benz driver George Russell secured a commendable third-place finish. After the race, Red Bull driver Max Verstappen, who clinched the championship, expressed his astonishment at the effectiveness of Mercedes-Benz’s upgrades in an interview with the media. Verstappen commented, “I thought it was a good race. I observed their pace, and obviously, their upgrades are paying off, which indicates that all teams are getting closer.” Russell, a British F1 racing driver, will be joining the Mercedes-Benz team in the 2022 season. He has shown promising performances, consistently earning points and securing his first F1 victory in Belgium. Prior to Mercedes, he drove for Williams. Russell’s impressive performance as a young driver highlights his tremendous potential, evident in Mercedes’ decision to sign him.
