[Saba Sports News] Recently, the Badminton World Federation (BWF) and the Chinese Badminton Association (CBA) announced that Xiamen has been chosen to host the 2025 Total Energy Badminton World Sudirman Cup finals, which will be held from April 27th to May 4th. This marks the seventh time that the Sudirman Cup finals will be held in China. Chinese fans are eagerly anticipating the chance to witness their national team secure a fourth consecutive Sudirman Cup mixed team championship at home. Xiamen has been keen on hosting the Sudirman Cup since 2019, and after years of diligent preparation, its top-notch venues and extensive experience in staging international events have finally paid off in winning the hosting rights. Statistics show that over 100,000 people regularly engage in badminton at indoor venues in Xiamen, and more than 80 badminton events with over 30,000 participants are held annually. These figures reflect the city’s enthusiasm and readiness to host the Sudirman Cup. To further enhance the international profile of the event and showcase the cultural charm of Xiamen, the local organizing committee has initiated a global call for submissions for event slogans, emblems, and mascot designs. The aim is to create a recognizable and representative image of Xiamen, thereby promoting the growth and popularity of badminton culture in the city.
