[Saba Sports News] According to German media reports, newly appointed Borussia Dortmund head coach Nuri Sahin is currently diligently pursuing a UEFA professional coaching certificate in Wales. According to the authoritative website Transfermarkt, Sahin currently only holds a European A-level coaching license. During his managerial tenure at Antalya Sports in Turkey, he could only fulfill the role of team manager due to the lack of the required license. According to regulations, the head coach of a Bundesliga team must possess a UEFA professional coaching certificate or be enrolled in the corresponding course, and Sahin is currently studying for this qualification in Wales. It is reported that Sahin’s Arsenal playing colleagues advised him to take the exam in Wales, as taking it in Germany would require him to coach a team during the study period. In Wales, he would only be responsible for guiding the youth team, allowing him to immediately apply what he learns in class to practical on-field situations. This integration of theory and practice is considered highly beneficial. Additionally, Dortmund has agreed to cover Sahin’s certification fees as part of his return to the club last December.
