[Saba Sports News] New details have emerged this week about the death of former Los Angeles Lakers guard Darius Morris.
It was reported that the L.A. County Medical Examiner’s investigation revealed Morris’ official cause of death as coronary artery disease. Drug and alcohol use, specifically cocaine, hydrocodone, and ethanol, were also significant factors.
Morris’ death has been ruled accidental. You can read TMZ’s full report on the medical examiner’s findings here.
Morris, a four-year NBA veteran who played from 2011-2015, was just 33 years old when he died last month. A former standout at the University of Michigan, Morris averaged 3.3 points and 1.4 assists per game in his NBA career and later played overseas in China, Russia, and France.
