(sabasports resport) Former AC Milan captain Massimo Ambrosini spoke to OLBG recently about the possibility of Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola coming to coach in Serie A.

Ambrosini said: “I think all Italians would like to see Guardiola in Serie A. He will be recognised here as he is in England as one of the greatest coaches of all time.”
He added: “Every time I hear him talk about City, I feel the depth of his affection for the club. It’s the same feeling when you hear Carlo Ancelotti talk about Real Madrid.”
Ambrosini added: “It will not be easy for Guardiola to leave Manchester City. Having played at the same club for 17 years, I know this emotion first-hand. But if Guardiola is looking for a new challenge, Italy is certainly the place for him.”
Ambrosini’s comments reflect the fervour in Italian football that Guardiola could be in charge of Serie A, and the heightened recognition of its potential impact.
