Reports indicate that Marko and Verstappen crossed paths during the F3 race, where Verstappen’s exceptional lap times caught the attention of Marko. Recognizing his talent, Marko reached out to Verstappen’s father and arranged a meeting at Hockenheimring to discuss Verstappen’s future. Red Bull offered him an official F1 driver seat.
