[Saba Sports News] As per British media reports, former England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson revealed that David Beckham visited him at his farm and presented him with six liters of 1948 wine. Coincidentally, 1948 was the year when the Swedish coach was born. Eriksson expressed his gratitude towards Beckham, stating, “The vintage of this wine holds great significance for me as it represents the year of my birth. I am deeply appreciative of Beckham’s thoughtful gesture. Despite the potential to become a major superstar, he remains humble and down-to-earth.” During Eriksson’s tenure as the head coach of the England team from 2001 to 2006, Beckham served as the captain, and the two shared a close bond. It is also reported that Beckham brought along a bottle of wine from 1982, the year when Eriksson led Gothenburg to victory in the UEFA Cup. Additionally, Beckham gifted a bottle of red wine from 2000, as it marked the year when the Swedish coach led Lazio to win the Serie A title.
