[Saba Sports News] According to reports from British media, the Manchester United men’s football team will be temporarily using the women’s football building at the Carrington base next season, while the women’s team will be relocated to a temporary building. Last summer, a £10 million women’s building was completed at Carrington, providing an improved environment for Manchester United’s women’s football team. However, the ongoing renovation of the men’s football building at Carrington Base, expected to last until the 2024-2025 season, has prompted the decision for the men’s team to prioritize its use next season. As a result, the women’s team will move into a temporary building on the premises, which will include changing rooms, team meeting rooms, office space, and communal areas. The Manchester United Women will continue to utilize the current pitch and canteen. The club considered various options for the women’s team next season and determined that remaining at Carrington would offer better facilities and a training ground in superior condition compared to alternative locations. Nevertheless, this decision has caused disappointment among some female footballers and staff members. A source closely associated with the Manchester United Women’s Football Team expressed the team’s increasing perception of being a lower priority for the club.
