(sabasports report)Arsenal captain Odegaard talks about his side’s transfer plans this summer.
Norway failed to qualify for this summer’s European Championship, so Odegaard had already taken a holiday to relax. He and some of the Arsenal squad are currently in Spain for pre-season training. Odegaard began by saying, “It’s been a great summer. It was strange, of course, that I was disappointed not to be able to play in the Euros and therefore had to watch it live. But, I had more time to relax and after a long season, I think I needed this.”

Odegaard then spoke of Arsenal’s current training camp in Marbella, Spain: “I think it’s a good place to train and work. You can also disconnect a little bit from football outside of training. It’s a good place to be and a good place to start the season.”
In response to a number of Arsenal fans who want the club to bring in a top striker this summer, Odegaard said: “My thinking is that I am very, very happy with the squad we have. We have an unbelievable squad. I think we showed what we are capable of, especially towards the end of last season, how well we played. We have created history and all those results, so I am very happy with this team, our ability is unbelievable, so I am not too worried about transfers.”
In the end, Odegaard said: “I think it’s down to coach Arteta, Edu and the club. I’m very happy with this team, they have incredible quality and it’s a pleasure to be a part of this team.”
