[Saba Sports News] According to German media reports, Mainz’s new player and Japanese international Sano Kaishu has pleaded guilty to and admitted to sexual assault. The victim stated that she was unable to express her wishes at the time and may have been under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Based on the current situation, Sano Kaishu’s career is over, and if the charges are proven, he will face a five-year prison sentence without the possibility of parole. Sano Kaishu, 23, joined Mainz this summer from Kashima Antlers. However, at 4 a.m. Tokyo time on July 14th, Sano Kaishu and two other men in their 20s sexually assaulted a woman in her 30s at a hotel in Yushima, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo. Prior to the incident, the three individuals had dined together. The woman promptly chose to contact the police. Japanese authorities apprehended Sano Kaishu and the three others on the road near the hotel and subsequently arrested them. It is worth mentioning that the Kashima Legal Department believes that the transfer transaction had been completed on July 4th, so Mainz still needs to pay the transfer fee of €4 million and has no right to seek compensation from Kashima Antlers.
