[Saba Sports News] According to British media, Manchester United opted for budget hotels during their pre-season tour in the US, possibly as a cost-cutting measure. Reports indicate that the Premier League giants are undergoing significant cost reductions, with around 250 employees expected to lose their jobs in the coming weeks. This context has drawn attention to the club’s accommodation choices during their US pre-season tour. Manchester United chose to stay at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills, with the cheapest room priced at £357 per night, significantly lower than their previous choices. In comparison, the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, where Louis van Gaal’s team stayed in 2014, had rooms starting at £870 per night. The latter hotel, featured in the movie “Pretty Woman,” is known for its association with actress Julia Roberts, a Manchester United fan. Meanwhile, Arsenal, also on a pre-season tour in the US, chose the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, with rooms starting at £773 per night this weekend.
