[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, if Manchester United decides to build a new stadium, they are exploring the possibility of retaining parts of Old Trafford for use by the women’s and youth teams. James Ratcliffe hopes that the club will decide on the stadium plan before December after the evaluation process. He personally prefers building a new stadium next to the existing Old Trafford with a capacity of 100,000. The idea is to preserve parts of the old stadium, not only for the women’s and youth teams but also as an important preservation of the club’s history. The main issue is that this plan essentially involves two costly construction projects simultaneously, as it involves reducing the capacity of Old Trafford while also building a completely different large stadium. It would then require maintaining both stadiums simultaneously, making the alternative plan of preserving Old Trafford as a whole practically unfeasible. Even a scaled-down version of Old Trafford, combined with a new stadium, would present significant challenges, as it would require innovative engineering plans and substantial expenses.
