[Saba Sports News] Nikola Jokic, the reigning NBA MVP, is celebrated not just for his on-court dominance but also for his humble and down-to-earth lifestyle, a contrast to the typical superstar persona.
In a recent interview with MONDO, Jokic’s father, Branislav Jokic, revealed the Serbian star’s introverted nature and preference for a simple life, avoiding the trappings of fame and new acquaintances.

“Nikola loves the simple things. We’re building family homes for our three sons, each with a car, and fixing up the hypodrome for his love of horses. What more does he need? He doesn’t care for clubs or the flashy lifestyle.”
Jokic’s passion for basketball and horse racing are his main comforts. His father explained that Nikola prefers the company of childhood friends and finds solace in his hometown of Sombor, Serbia, where he plans to build a home near the hypodrome.
Despite his success, Jokic has stayed true to his roots, prioritizing family, long-time friendships, and his passions over the superficialities of fame. This authenticity sets Jokic apart as a global basketball superstar who remains grounded in his humble beginnings.
