[Saba Sports News] As the F1 summer break approaches its end, Max Verstappen, the Red Bull Racing driver who has already returned to the team, recently discussed his teammate, Sergio Perez, in an interview with the media. Verstappen stated that he understands his teammate’s performance because it is normal for Perez to struggle with adapting to the current Red Bull race car, and he cannot replicate Verstappen’s driving style. Verstappen said, “Everyone has their own driving style, so what works for me may not work for others.” Since May, Perez’s performance in the RB20 has been consistently underwhelming, causing the Red Bull Racing team to lose a significant number of points in the championship battle. The team had considered replacing Perez, but after careful consideration, they decided to continue supporting him and work on upgrading the car to help him overcome his struggles. It is believed that Perez’s difficulties primarily stem from Red Bull’s car adjustments being tailored entirely to Verstappen’s driving style, making it extremely challenging for Perez to adapt.
