[Saba Sports News] Recently, Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny talked about leaving Juventus in a media interview. He believes that the club’s decision to let him go was not a wise one and expressed that if he cannot find a suitable new club, he will remain unemployed for a year. This week, Juventus officially terminated the contract with Szczesny, who accepted a severance fee lower than his annual salary. After seven years with the team, the Polish goalkeeper left the club and became a free agent. It is reported that Szczesny had been undergoing personal training instead of joining the team for collective training before the official termination of the contract, and Juventus provided him with a goalkeeper coach. Regarding this situation, Szczesny explained, “The sporting director called me. He said my daughter was born, and if I wanted, I could stay in Poland, and they would send a coach for me and be ready anytime before the end of August. So I’m satisfied with that.” When asked if he regrets the termination, Szczesny said, “I don’t think it was a wise decision by the club, but I have no resentment at all. From a sports perspective, I don’t think this decision will stand. I hope I’m wrong.”
