(SabaSports) According to Marc Stein, Steve Kerr is not expected to continue as the head coach of the U.S. men’s basketball team.
The report said USA Basketball could choose either Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra or Los Angeles Clippers coach Tyronn Lue as Kerr’s replacement. Both are currently Kerr’s assistant coaches at the U.S. men’s basketball team.
Kerr previously served as an assistant coach with the U.S. men’s basketball team at the 2019 World Cup (where it finished seventh) and the 2021 Tokyo Olympics (where it won gold). He then coached the team to the 2023 World Cup (where they finished fourth) and the 2024 Paris Olympics (where they won gold again).
