[Saba Sports News] The Philadelphia 76ers have reportedly signed French Olympic star Guerschon Yabusele, who played a key role in leading France to the gold medal game in Paris.
Yabusele, 28, has agreed to a 1-year, $2.1 million minimum contract, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. He currently has a $2.5 million buyout with Real Madrid, with the 76ers allowed to contribute up to $850,000 of that amount.
Yabusele, who previously played in the NBA with the Boston Celtics from 2017-2019, averaged 14.3 points per game during the Olympics.
Despite modest NBA stats in his earlier stint, Yabusele has shown leadership and effort, bouncing back after being involved in a EuroLeague brawl last year. An agreement with Real Madrid regarding his buyout has reportedly been reached.
