[Saba Sports News] South African cricketer Keshav Maharaj couldn’t attend the Ram Temple’s ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony in Ayodhya due to his commitment to the SA20 league. Expressing his devotion, Maharaj conveyed his prayers for peace and harmony a day before the event and expressed his intention to visit the temple soon. He hopes the IPL team Lucknow Super Giants, which is affiliated with his SA20 team, Durban Super Giants, will organize a trip for his family.
The 33-year-old has long wished to make a pilgrimage to India, particularly to the Ram temple in Ayodhya. “I couldn’t make it for the temple’s inauguration due to scheduling conflicts, but I’m looking forward to visiting Ayodhya in the future,” Maharaj said in an interview.
He also mentioned his hopes for the Lucknow franchise to facilitate this pilgrimage for his family. Maharaj, a devout follower of Lord Hanuman and Lord Ram, shared how his faith has provided him with perspective and guidance in his career. He recently asked for the song ‘Ram Siya Ram’ to be played during South Africa’s series against India, as a means to focus and give thanks.
