[Saba Sports News] Last year, Dutch forward Anwar El Ghazi was suspended by Mainz for publicly supporting Palestine. Subsequently, El Ghazi was released by Mainz in November last year after he expressed that he did not regret his actions. Recently, El Ghazi updated his social media to state that he has received compensation from Mainz. In response to this, El Ghazi wrote: “After receiving a substantial compensation from Mainz today, I want to clarify that my legal dispute with Mainz was never about money for me. I want to thank Mainz for two things. First, for their compensation payment, of which €500,000 will be used to fund projects for children in Gaza. I hope Mainz can find some comfort in providing financial support for Gaza’s children through my compensation, despite their repeated attempts to evade payment. Secondly, they tried to silence me, but this made my voice for the oppressed people of Gaza even louder.” It must be said that El Ghazi is truly a real man!
