[Saba Sports News] Nikola Jokic gave fans a glimpse of what it might be like if he teamed up with Luka Doncic on Saturday.
The MVP-level duo played together in the “Night of the Dragon” exhibition at Stozice Arena in Ljubljana, Slovenia, celebrating Slovenian legend Goran Dragic’s retirement.
On the bench, Jokic lived up to his nickname, playfully teasing Doncic at every opportunity, including pouring water over him and playfully smacking him on the head after his bottle ran dry.
The antics continued on the court, with Jokic and Doncic connecting for some unconventional plays, including a self-oop from Jokic that’s unlikely to be seen in the NBA.
Dragic’s farewell game featured a star-studded lineup, including former MVPs Steve Nash and Dirk Nowitzki, as well as NBA players like Nikola Vucevic, Boban Marjanovic, Robin Lopez, and Bogdan Bogdanovic.
Even Chris Bosh made a surprise appearance, scoring two points.
Despite the star power on their team, Doncic and Jokic’s squad lost to Dragic’s team 106-86.
