[Saba Sports News] American driver Logan Sargeant’s F1 career is under scrutiny after he was involved in a serious crash during the third practice session of the Dutch Grand Prix, increasing the likelihood of him being replaced. Last Saturday, during the third practice session, Sargeant ran off the track at the exit of Turn 3, lost control of his car, and crashed into the left-side barrier, causing significant damage to both his car and the barrier. The session was red-flagged, and it took the marshals a considerable amount of time to extinguish the fire on Sargeant’s wrecked FW46 and repair the barrier. Although the chassis of Sargeant’s car was spared, the engine and gearbox sustained severe damage, and Williams could not repair the car in time for qualifying, forcing Sargeant to withdraw. Following the incident, German media outlet Auto und Sport reported that Williams is considering replacing Sargeant before the Italian Grand Prix next weekend. Team principal James Vowles stated that he would not make an emotional decision, but former Haas driver Mick Schumacher and Andrea Kimi Antonelli are both potential candidates.
