[Saba Sports News] Recently, Newcastle legend Alan Shearer criticized Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford; however, Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag defended his player at a recent press conference. Previously, Alan Shearer stated: “Rashford has played two games this season without a single shot on target; based on these two games, his performance in front of goal has been far from good.” In response, Ten Hag said: “If I substitute a player, sometimes it’s because I’m not satisfied with their performance, but Rashford being substituted is definitely not because of that; the commentator’s analysis is foolish. I am very satisfied with Rashford’s performances in pre-season and against Fulham as well as Brighton. Performance is not the reason I substituted him; we need to rotate as we have good players on the bench.” Many times when we think of Rashford, we don’t think of his brilliant goals or speed but rather his lackadaisical attitude during matches. I wonder if Manchester United fans agree with this?
