In the PBA Governor’s Cup, the Rain or Sunshine extended their winning streak to four with a 116-99 victory over the foreign-short Phoenix in a game played on Friday at Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
Rain or Shine tops Group B with a 4-0 record and is off to its best start in the league in 12 years, the last time it did so in the same foreign-aided league in 2012.
Amazingly, that year Rain or Shine made it all the way to the final and won the team’s first-ever championship in Asia’s oldest professional league.
So is this a harbinger of a similar moment of glory for Rain or Shine?
