[Saba Sports News] Mercedes driver George Russell and Red Bull driver Max Verstappen are currently competing against each other in F1 races; however, they often faced off in international karting competitions when they were younger. On the eve of the Azerbaijan F1 Grand Prix race, Russell posted photos on Instagram of their karting competition together 12 years ago. Russell stated that on this day 12 years ago, he and Max won championships in the European Karting Championship. At that time, he won the youth category championship while Max won the senior category championship at the local PFI track. This weekend, PFI will host the World Karting Championship, reminding him of those passionate days and his dream of reaching the top one day. Russell revealed that after becoming an F1 driver, it is easy to get caught up in pressure during races or daily life; however, seeing these photos reminds him of that child who longed to enter F1. It constantly reminds him that dreams do not come true overnight but can become reality with hard work.
