[Saba Sports News] Kwame Brown’s time playing alongside Michael Jordan with the Washington Wizards sheds light on Jordan’s legendary work ethic and dedication to the game. Though Brown admits he isn’t personally a fan of Jordan, he can’t deny the commitment he witnessed firsthand, even as Jordan approached the end of his career.
During an episode of the ‘Swish Cultures’ podcast, Brown shared his mixed feelings, saying, “I’m not an MJ fan… but I saw the work and dedication.” He recalled how, despite being 39 years old and staying up late gambling, Jordan never skipped early morning workouts, known as the “Breakfast Club,” arriving in the weight room at 5:45 AM.
Brown was amazed by Jordan’s discipline and consistency, noting how he never “cheated the game” regardless of his off-court activities. Despite their personal tensions, Brown acknowledges Jordan’s relentless drive, which left a lasting impression on him and solidified Jordan’s status as one of the greatest competitors in NBA history.
