[Saba Sports News] Rain or Shine and Magnolia meet in the playoffs for the first time in years, and it’s expected to be a tight matchup, especially since, unlike the past, no team has the edge this time around.

Although Rain or Light is the top seed in Group B and Magnolia is the No. 4 seed in Group A, this time it doesn’t have the advantage of beating its opponent twice.
In a best-of five series, the Elasto Painters and the Hotshots will try to take a decisive lead in the PBA Governor’s Cup quarterfinal on Wednesday at Ninoy Aquino Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 7.30pm in the teams’ first playoff meeting since the 2021 Philippine Cup quarter-finals, when Magnolia swept by rain or light.
Now, however, the Elasto Painters are a different team, New members include Gian Mamuyac, Shaun Ildefonso, Jhonard Clarito, Keith Datu, Adrian Nocombe, and others Nocum, Caelan Tiongson and Felix Lemetti added new blood to the team. Under head coach Yeng Guiao, the team has been more competitive.
