[Saba Sports News] The Memphis Grizzlies faced off against the Dallas Mavericks in a competitive preseason game on Monday night, leading 93-90 at the end of the third quarter.
Ja Morant, however, became an injury concern after rolling his ankle twice—first in the second quarter during a fastbreak and again in the third quarter after a dunk.
Following the second tweak, Morant signaled to the trainer with an “I’m done” gesture, as reported by Nick Angstadt.
Morant finished with 13 points, four rebounds, and three assists, but Memphis hopes for his swift recovery.
After missing part of last season due to a shoulder injury, Morant is eager to return at full strength for the Grizzlies’ 2024-25 campaign. Despite the setback, Memphis held on to win 121-116, a promising start to their preseason.
