[Saba Sports News] The identity of Max Verstappen’s teammate for the 2025 season remains a hot topic. Sergio Perez’s overall performance in 2024 has not been impressive; although he survived a potential dismissal crisis, at 34 years old, he has shown signs of considering retirement. Daniel Ricciardo was once seen as an ideal candidate to replace Perez but was ultimately replaced by young driver Liam Lawson. In an interview with Austrian television ORF, Red Bull Racing’s motorsport advisor Helmut Marko expressed his hope that Verstappen’s teammate in 2025 will be a Red Bull junior driver. Therefore, Red Bull will assess Lawson’s capabilities in the last six races of this year, allowing him to compete against Yuki Tsunoda to see who can perform better and seize the opportunity to partner with Verstappen. Marko pointed out that competitors are opting for younger drivers, and this trend of youth in racing will continue; Red Bull must keep up with this trend.
