Powered by long shots from Calvin Oftana and Rey Nambatac, Tropang Giga went on a quick 38-21 run in the third quarter to pull away and smoothly extend a 90-81 win in the opener.
Now, Tropang Giga lead 2-0 and will next face in-form Rain or Shine in Dasmarali nas, Kavit Province on Sunday.
Ovtana was 3 of 6 from beyond the arc and South Batak was 2 of 3, and their play helped power a third quarter surge that put Tropang Giga up just 47-43 at halftime. Oftana scored 13 points in the third quarter and Batac South added 11 points, especially as the E-Painters committed seven turnovers, a performance that highlighted Tropang Giga’s strength.
