[Saba Sports News] Egypt is set to face Mauritania in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. According to Egyptian media reports, due to poor conditions at the Mauritania stadium, Egypt’s national team coach Hossam Hassan has allowed Mohamed Salah not to participate in this match. Reports indicate that Salah may miss Egypt’s next match against Mauritania; national team head coach Hossam Hassan confirmed that if Salah requests it, he will allow the player to return to Liverpool due to the poor conditions at Mauritania’s stadium, which also increases the risk of injury for players. Hassan stated: “If any player requests not to play on artificial turf, I would agree. The Mauritania team plays very hard with aggressive tackles; their field is not the best. If Salah specifically requests not to play in this match, I would agree. I am very concerned about the away match against Mauritania; their field is very difficult. Even if the team doesn’t win, that’s okay. I think it’s important not to lose.” The 32-year-old Salah has made 10 appearances for Liverpool across all competitions this season, starting 9 times and scoring 6 goals while providing 5 assists.
