[Saba Sports News] Fans at Madison Square Garden got a sports doubleheader during the Knicks’ home debut on Friday.
With the Knicks leading the Pacers 105-77 in the fourth quarter, Yankees slugger Giancarlo Stanton smashed a home run to give his team a 2-1 lead in Game 1 of the World Series.
Though the Yankees were miles away in Los Angeles, MSG erupted with “Let’s go Yankees!” chants, and the jumbotron replayed Stanton’s homer moments later.
After a powerful ALCS performance, Stanton, affectionately known as “Big G,” showed he’s still red-hot as the Yankees aim for their first title since 2009.
