“Before the game, because we were playing back-to-back games, Coach Redick specifically talked about the young players, especially Max Christie and Cole Swider, who have to bring energy,” Hachimura said of team leader LeBron James. But in reality, James, the oldest player on the team today, is the one who brings the energy. He was pretty crazy in the fourth quarter when we needed him.”
For the game, Hachimura played well offensively. He shot 5 of 13 from the field, 2 of 2 from 3-point range and 6 of 6 from free throw range in 37 minutes, finishing with 18 points, nine rebounds and three assists with one turnover and a plus-minus 17.
James finished the game with 33 1/2 points, 12 of 22 shooting (4 of 9 3-pointers) and four free throws, finishing with 32 points, 14 rebounds, 10 assists and one block for his first triple-double of the season. In the crucial fourth quarter, James blew away the game, scoring 16 points on a 3-minute stretch that led to a 21-0 run to turn the game around.
