[Saba Sports News] Bronny James isn’t the only son of an NBA superstar making waves this season. Scotty Pippen Jr. made history on Friday alongside his father, Scottie Pippen.
In his first start of the season with the Grizzlies, Pippen Jr. stepped up as the starting point guard with Ja Morant sidelined, leading Memphis to a 128-104 win over the Washington Wizards at FedExForum.
He recorded his first career triple-double, posting 11 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists in 28 minutes. This achievement made Scotty and Scottie the first father-son duo in NBA history to each record a triple-double.
Scotty Pippen Jr. is averaging 11.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 6.9 assists per game through 10 games this season and may continue to play a key role if Morant remains out.
