[Saba Sports News] With just 52 days left until Mohamed Salah is able to pre-sign a contract with another club, the departure of one of the outstanding players in Liverpool’s history appears to be drawing closer. But as long as Salah is loved by the Anfield crowd, Liverpool will be reluctant to say goodbye.

Salah was in superb form again against Aston Villa on Saturday night, helping his side to victory. His numbers were impressive, becoming the first player in the Big Five to reach double figures in goals and assists in the same season. No other Liverpool player in the Premier League has managed to pull off such a feat so early in the season. Salah reached both milestones in just 17 games, the previous record being 23 set by Luis Suarez in 2013/14.
Virgil van Dijk, the Liverpool captain, said: “Salah has been performing at a high level for many years. I see his effort every day and it’s very consistent, both in terms of stats and form. He was a phenomenal player, a legend. I’m honored to have served alongside him.” Although Salah suffered a hamstring injury at the start of the season, he recovered quickly and continued to show his talent on the pitch. Not only has he broken personal records, but he continues to set new milestones. However, despite his impeccable performances, Salah has yet to secure a new contract from Fenway Sports Group.
