[Saba Sports News] Recently, Ruben Amorim led Manchester United in his first training session. In this session, Amorim utilized his familiar 3-4-3 formation, with Marcus Rashford playing as the forward and Amad Diallo and Mason Mount operating behind him. In the three center-back configuration, Jonathan Evans stood in the middle, flanked by Luke Shaw and Leny Yoro on either side. Notably, Antony was assigned the right wing-back position, giving him the freedom to control the entire right flank. Amorim emphasized initiating attacks from the back, making Evans, Yoro, and Luke Shaw the heartbeat of the team. In midfield, Kobbie Mainoo appears to have become an important piece for Amorim. As Manchester United seeks to launch attacks from the back, Mainoo’s role as a deep-lying playmaker has become even more crucial. Amorim seemed energetic during the first training session, actively participating in drills and touches, and even using a whistle himself to ensure he captured the players’ attention.
