[Saba Sports News] The Golden State Warriors face a “devil’s schedule” in their December 2024 schedule, complicating the team’s outlook. The next opponents are all strong, The Warriors will face back-to-back games against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Denver Nuggets, Memphis Grizzlies and Minnesota Timberwolves The Timberwolves. The only relatively easy opponent is the Indiana Pacers, the eighth place team in the Eastern Conference, who are 9-11. But none of the Warriors’ opponents in December will be easy blowups or rebuilding teams, and all have legitimate playoff contenders, notably the Dallas Mavericks and Oklahoma City Thunder, The performance of these two teams is also worthy of caution, and they are not easy opponents.

The Warriors are struggling with a tough schedule, especially with a four-game losing streak. The superstar Stephen Curry publicly complained and pressured Coach Steve Kerr to make changes. “We need to shorten our rotation,” Curry said. “We can add one or two reserves per game, just in case we need them. That way, both young and veteran players can have a certain chemistry on the court.” Curry stressed that returning to a nine-man rotation is important because the current extended rotation is not having the desired effect and is having a negative impact on the team.
Curry had 23 points, seven rebounds and four assists in 32 minutes in the Warriors’ 115-106 loss to the Phoenix Suns. Despite Curry’s individual performance, the team’s rotation is still a key factor in the losing streak. Curry made it clear that this extended rotation was doing the team more harm than good and that something had to change soon.
Whether the Warriors can adjust and avoid further declines in the coming “devil’s schedule” will be key to determining their playoff prospects.
