[Saba Sports News] The Badminton World Federation (BWF) has announced that Chinese badminton legend Chen Long and Korean badminton star Lee Yong Dae have officially been inducted into the BWF Hall of Fame for 2024. The induction ceremony will take place on December 9 this year during the banquet of the BWF World Tour Finals. According to data, Chen Long is one of the most outstanding men’s singles players in the history of Chinese badminton, with a remarkable career that includes a gold medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics, a silver medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, a bronze medal at the 2012 London Olympics, as well as two World Championship titles and 22 Super Series/World Tour titles. Lee Yong Dae is hailed as one of the most talented doubles players in history, captivating countless fans with his versatile playing style. From winning the Olympic mixed doubles gold medal at the age of 19 to setting a record with 46 Super Series/World Tour titles, Lee Yong Dae has redefined doubles competition. In my opinion, their induction into the BWF Hall of Fame not only recognizes their historic contributions to badminton but also highlights their profound influence as role models and idols.
