[Saba Sports News] During the qualifying session of the F1 Qatar Grand Prix, Red Bull driver Max Verstappen was penalized for slowing down during the warm-up lap, resulting in him dropping one position, which allowed Mercedes driver George Russell to inherit pole position. Afterwards, Verstappen discovered that Russell had reported him, questioning Russell’s two-faced behavior and stating he had lost respect for him. During the media day for the F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the feud between Verstappen and Russell intensified. Russell revealed in an interview that Verstappen once said he would “bang his head against the wall,” and referred to the bullying that took place between Lewis Hamilton and Verstappen in 2021, suggesting that it was time for everyone who had been bullied by Verstappen over the years to stand up and fight back. Russell also claimed that Verstappen and his small group had been trying to oust Red Bull team principal Christian Horner. Due to Verstappen’s bullying, many within the Red Bull team have applied to Mercedes, McLaren, and Aston Martin. In response, Verstappen dismissed these claims, stating that Russell is a habitual liar and often cries, jokingly suggesting he would bring Russell a pack of tissues next time. Horner was not swayed by Russell’s seemingly supportive comments and instead joined in criticizing Russell. Consequently, Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff also entered the fray, accusing Horner of meddling in his own drivers’ affairs and calling him a “yappy little dog” who always has something to say. Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc found the situation entertaining, jokingly hoping for the two to fight it out. Currently, the comments section on Russell’s social media is lively, with fans from various teams engaging in a new round of insults.
