[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, Manchester United will no longer fund the club staff’s Christmas party. An internal source revealed that staff members recently learned that the club would not sponsor the Christmas party, which they found disappointing, marking the first time in recent years that the club has not funded the event. This gathering traditionally brings together all staff and has usually been held at Old Trafford, but has also taken place at venues like the cricket ground and GMEX. Meanwhile, news of Dan Ashworth’s departure has further soured the mood within Manchester United, with sources indicating that the club is rapidly developing a new team and structure that seems misaligned with Ashworth’s vision and that of other senior board members. Ashworth was brought in from Newcastle for a relatively low fee of £2-3 million, while Manchester United fans have to bear the brunt of rising ticket prices at Old Trafford. Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS colleagues travel in luxury cars to and from the stadium and the company also provides driving services for some Manchester United players, raising questions about cost-cutting measures.
